United Way Galveston County Mainland is going all out for their first ever Miles for the Mainland Fun Run to raise money for 31 vital human service organizations in Galveston County. This Certified 1K, 5K and 10K Race will be chip-timed for those competetive enthusiasts out there. They are giving away T-Shirts and other goodies in the Race Packets for the first 400 participants who have registered and paid the entry fee.

To make this fun for the whole family, UWGCM is spicing things up a little bit. Kids 10 & Under (and kids at heart) are encouraged to wear a costume for the Kids 1K Monster Mash Dash at 7 a.m. There will also be arts and crafts, face painting, a moon walk, food and vendors to make this morning event enjoyable for all ages and abilities.
