DESCRIPTION:About the Heritage Festival:\n\nThe Heritage Festival has been a cherished tradition in Santa Fe since its founding in 1972 by the Jaycees. After a brief pause in the early '80s\, it was revived in 1992 by the Santa Fe Senior Citizens Council\, with proceeds helping fund the construction of the Thelma Weber Community Center. In the decades since\, the festival has been hosted by several dedicated community groups including the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce and a coalition of five local nonprofits each keeping the spirit of Santa Fe's history and hospitality alive.\n\n\n\nFestival Founders:\n\n\n	\n	Jaycees\n	\n	\n	Santa Fe Senior Citizens Council\n	\n	\n	Friends of the Library\n	\n	\n	HIS Ministries of Galveston County\n	\n	\n	Santa Fe Area Historical Foundation\n	\n	\n	Santa Fe Texas Lions Club\n	\n\n\nNow hosted by the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce\, the Heritage Festival remains our largest fundraiser of the year and continues to celebrate community\, tradition\, and Texas pride.
